1. Client Challenge:

Over the last 16 years we have been repeatedly selected to perform work at NIH. Working for multiple ESCO’s; Washington Gas, Pepco, Noresco and Constellation at multiple sites; Bethesda, MD, Poolesville, MD, Frederick, MD (NCI/NIH), Montana and North Carolina.

LRI has upgraded their lighting, installed controls, performed M&V and installed Data Loggers in hundreds of buildings, campus street lighting, parking garages, etc.

These facilities can be very demanding with the highest level of scientists and doctors performing the most important tasks, looking for cures and developments in health.

2. Lighting Solution:

The current project is for (5) highrise buildings in Bethesda modifying or replacing 12,441 light fixtures, 1647 local occupancy controls and installing globally controlled dimming systems for Building 45. This $2.9mil project will include a rebate to the customer of over $400,000 and has a simple payback of 3.9 years.

Additionally, we have (3) Buildings NIH/WGL has asked us to develop for the next phase. With Pepco (now CNE) we have (2) highrise buildings at NIH that are in the Detailed Energy Study (DES) Phase and scheduled to go to contract in the fourth quarter this year or first quarter 2021.
