Brief Project Overview:
The ESPC project included the headquarters facility, located in Glynco, GA (near Brunswick) and one of the residential training centers located in Charleston, SC. The facilities at these two sites include a variety of administrative, residential, classroom, and training buildings.
Water Savers conducted the investment grade audit (IGA) under a design contract and was selected as a subcontracting partner through a competitive RFP process. Construction has reached substantial completion and is currently in the close-out period.
The scope of work included installation of vitreous china HE plumbing fixtures and piston valves, low-flow shower heads, and ultra low-flow faucet restrictors. In addition the project included kitchen equipment and laundry equipment upgrades, as well as installation of sub-meters for the purposes of sewer exemption credits.
Due to the mixed-use nature and varying ages of the facilities at these sites, a number of different fixture types and implementation techniques were utilized during the construction phase to provide what now appears to be a seamless standardization of equipment.
During the design, Water Savers conducted extensive pre measurement and verification (M&V) of plumbing fixtures. Upon completion we conducted post-retrofit M&V of all installed equipment to verify performance specifications and aid in commissioning all newly installed equipment.
