The new Evolucia G2 Aimed Optics™ LED Cobra Head Roadway Luminaires offer substantially increased light efficacy when compared to traditional lighting technologies such as high intensity discharge (HID).

The new Evolucia G2 line of LED Cobra Head fixtures is available in 100 watt, 150 watt, 200 watt and 400 watt HID replacement configurations with energy savings ranging from 57% to 66% depending on the input wattages. The product family is available in 4000K and 5000K color temperatures and exhibit a CRI of >70.
Evolucia roadway, area, garage and parking lot lighting provide optimum energy savings, excellent color rendition and long life. The new Evolucia G2 line of fixtures has an unprecedented 6 mounting height which dramatically reduces the cost of new installations, and improves the lighting performance of retrofit installations. Evolucia products are designed to optimize product performance with the company’s innovative Aimed Optics photometric design delivering 15% more light on the road when compared to competing LED fixtures. The G2 product is a completely integrated lighting system. According to Smith, “For example, there are 15 million 400 watt cobra head fixtures in the U.S., if we use the 400 watt LED replacement fixture, we can save as much as 250 watts of power per streetlight — this is about 1000 kWh per year or one barrel of oil for every two lights. If we replaced all 15 million lights in the US market, that would equal more than 7 million barrels of oil and eliminate 10 million metric tons of CO2 from being emitted into the atmosphere. The energy savings would be enough to power more than 1 million American households. Just imagine the impact if we could replace all 50 million roadway lights.”
The new Evolucia Cobra Head LED luminaires’ extreme long life, at over 10 years, also delivers financial savings by offsetting maintenance costs.
